1978年毕业于华东师大英语文学专业；
1982年7月以全优成绩结业于为期半年的上外和美国Fulbright合办的高校英语师资进修班；
1988年8月赴加拿大维多利亚大学研修应用语言学与教学法一年；
1995年10月获英国British Council奖学金，留学于英国纽卡斯尔大学，主修媒体技术辅助外语教学法专业，并于次年12月荣获优等硕士学位。
学术成果：
撰著有“英语强化教学中的词汇教学”、“外语视听说教学的理论及其优势”等学术论文（均为独著）。编著有：《大学英语教程》、《大学英语写作强化训练教程》、《大中小学一条龙英语人才培养模式研究》子项目《大中小学“一条龙”英语教材编写原则与方法研究》（主编）、《新世纪初中英语教程》（主编）、《中等职业技术学校英语教程》、《新世纪初中英语一课一练》、《中考英语总复习》等7部（共45卷）；译著有：“语用学浅说”、“ESP教学二十年”、“规划未来世界的学习” 等学术论文（均为独著）等。
