Himy name is Sialupapu (Papu) Siameja. I am originally from Zambia, in SouthernAfrica. For the past 34 years, I have called New Zealand home.
Icompleted my first university degree in Chemistry and Biology at the Universityof Zambia in the mid-80s after which I worked for an international distiller offine spirits making whisky, brandy, gin, vodka etc.
Afteremigrating to New Zealand I studied at the University of Waikato completing abachelor's degree and then a masters’ degree in management studies – bothmajoring in Economics.
Iworked in the health sector as a business analyst contracting for services forolder people and for people living with disabilities, and then taught economicsat two tertiary institutions before enrolling for my PhD at Waikato Universitywhich I completed in 2010.
Sincethen, I have worked in various roles in the Economics Department of the WaikatoUniversity Management School. Since 2019 I have been in China, initially at theNew Zealand University of Waikato Joint Institute at Zhejiang University CityCollege (now Hangzhou City University), and since December 2020 at SISU in theWaikato programme. At SISU I teach economics, management, and marketing papers.
Whennot working, or sampling delicious Chinese foods with friends, or exploringdifferent parts of Shanghai, I can be found practicing the Japanese art ofaikido.
嗨，我叫帕普。我出生在非洲南部的赞比亚。但过去34年，我一直把新西兰作为我的第二家乡。
上世纪80年代中期，我在赞比亚大学获得化学和生物学学士学位后，曾为一家生产威士忌、白兰地、杜松子酒、伏特加等产品的国际精酿烈酒生产商工作。
移民到新西兰后，我在怀卡托大学学习，先后获得管理学学士和硕士学位，研究方向均为经济学。
我曾在新西兰卫生部门担任业务分析员，为老年人和残疾人提供服务，后来在两所高等院校教授经济学，然后在怀卡托大学攻读博士学位，于2010年毕业。
自那时起，我在怀卡托大学管理学院经济学系担任各种职务。自2019年以来，我一直在中国，最初在浙江大学城市学院（现为杭州城市大学）与怀卡多大学联合学院工作，自2020年12月起我来到上外，担任怀卡托项目经济学、管理学和市场营销等课程任课教师。
工作之余，我喜欢与朋友品尝美味的中国美食，或者探索上海的不同地区，或者练习日本的合气道。
